Fuhao Fan is deputy director and researcher at the Breeding Pig Quality Inspection and Testing Center (Guangzhou) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He proposed the saliva detection technology for African swine fever (fixed-point removal, or tooth extraction), invented the saliva sample protection solution, and proposed concepts such as "compartmentalization", "nucleic acid removal", "trace monitoring" and "nutritional redundancy". He has long been engaged in research and study on the theory and practice of swine disease control.
