Professor John J McGlone a teacher and researcher at Texas Tech. University, well-known as an expert in animal behavior, physiology and animal welfare. His main research areas are animal behavior, animal neurology, animal welfare, and stress and immunology. He was the Director of the Institute for Comparative and Experimental Medicine (ICEM), has served on the International Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animals (AAALAC) for over 30 years, and is a representative of the Federation of Animal Science Societies (FASS). He has published many research results in animal welfare, behavior and physiology for more than 40 years. One of them is Boar Better,a novel 3-molecule boar pheromone that can induce full sexual behavior in sows. He has published numerous articles in top international journals on pheromone biology, pig housing construction, production details, etc. Many of his students are also engaged in teaching and research work in universities, training professionals for the society.
