Cesar A Corzo

Dr. Cesar A Corzo a swine veterinarian who obtained his DVM in Colombia in 2002. Dr. Corzo holds a MSc and PhD from the University of Guelph and University of Minnesota, respectively. Throughout his career, Dr. Corzo has been able to gain field experience as he worked in the industry in a technical role within a pharmaceutical company and as a health team leader for a breeding stock company. His experience in the field coupled with his academic training has allowed him to develop sound knowledge on infectious disease control and elimination. He is currently the Leman Chair in Swine Health and Productivity at the University of Minnesota where he focuses on conducting applied research on PRRSv and Senecavirus A. He also leads the Morrison Swine Health Monitoring Project, a program that monitors different diseases in approximately 50% of the United States breeding herd.
