Dr.Wallace Henry is a graduate of the University of Leeds where he received a PhD in pig nutrition. The focus of his research was how nutrition impacts piglet growth and sow reproductive performance. Wallace also holds a Master’s degree in Business Improvement from the University of Ulster. Wallace has extensive expertise and experience in working in many areas of the Irish and UK feed and pig production industries. Wallace currently runs his own independent consultancy business. His expertise in animal nutrition is predominantly focused on the feed business level, for example the chain from feed additives – premixes – feed compounding, and covers the following areas: Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of integrated pollution prevention and control application for pig units; expert and up to date knowledge of feed formulation, in particular piglet diets; extensive knowledge in designing and carrying out animal research trials; high degree of practical and technical knowledge of advanced nutritional topics including low nutrient excretion diets, nutritional enzymes, mineral nutrition, and best use of available raw ingredients.
