Dr. Zhou is trained in animal molecular virology and immunology, with researches focus on molecular pathogenesis of PRRSV and other infectious diseases, pattern of genetic variation, and infection and immunization mechanism. He studies for his Ph.D. under supervision of Prof. Hanchun Yang. His Ph.D. thesis received award for national top 100 thesis. He did postdoctoral in College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech supported by industry group. Now, he serves on the editorial committee of Journal of Chinese Veterinary Medicine. He is also a reviewer for Veterinary Microbiology , Archive of Virology, and Plos One. Dr. Zhou published about 40 SCI papers in Plos Pathogens,Journal of Virology,Emerging Infectious Diseases,Virology, and Veterinary Microbiology. As a researcher in the national disease control program, he is experienced with pig disease diagnosis and control.
