Dr. Haixue Zheng heads the Viral Gene Engineering Research Group, National FMD reference laboratory, State Key Laboratory of Veterinary Etiological Biology, Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), which carries out basic and applied research and help to control foot-and-mouth disease (FMD). He has received young scientific and technological innovation leading talent award of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and "young talents" award of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences for his outstanding accomplishment.
