Jinyi Yang is a researcher currently working at the College of Food Science of South China Agricultural University and the Research Institute of Wens Group. His main research focuses on the development of rapid biological detection technologies. He has many years of experience in preparing core raw materials for biological detection, establishing highly sensitive new analytical methods, and promoting the industrialization and application of rapid testing products. He has led multiple research projects, including key research and development programs under the national "13th Five-Year Plan," the National Natural Science Foundation, and major projects of the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation. In the past five years, he has published over ten papers as the first or corresponding author in prominent journals such as the “Journal of Food Science”, “PLOS ONE”, “Biosensors and Bioelectronics”, and “Food Chemistry”, and holds more than 20 invention patents. The rapid detection technologies and applications he has contributed to in agricultural products (food) safety have received several awards, including the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2010, the first prize of Guangdong Province Science and Technology Award, the second prize of the China Agricultural Science and Technology Award in 2009, the second prize of the Shennong China Agricultural Science and Technology Award in 2017, the first prize of the Guangdong Provincial Agricultural Technology Promotion Award in 2019, and the first prize of the Ministry of Education's Technological Invention Award in 2020.
