John Patience
John recently retired following a 45-year career in all aspects of pig production with a particular emphasis on nutrition, physiology and biochemistry. Prior to his retirement, his most recent research was mainly focused on the development of nutritional programs to enhance the pig’s ability to resist disease, or limit its impact on the pig’s health, well-being and performance. In his retirement, John is consulting locally, national and internationally in swine nutrition and management, while splitting his time between homes in Ames, IA and Toronto, Canada.
