Dr. Paolo Martelli of Veterinary Medicine, who earned his degree with honors in 1984, has been a full-time professor of Internal Medicine (Veterinary Clinical Medicine) at the Department of Veterinary Sciences at University of Parma. He served as head of the department for eight years and Vice President of the University of Parma for three years. In 2004, Martelli founded European College of Porcine Health Management (ECPHM), where he became a recognized diplomate. Currently, he serves as President of the colloge. He is in charge of the teaching of physical examination and internal medicine at the large animal clinic. His research focuses on porcine health management.
